They are also found in subtropical climates. It is unclear exactly where the name for these magic mushroom spores came from, although it is likely named after Lex Luthor, a fictional villain in the Superman comic book universe.

These magic mushroom spores also end up known for their “spots” on top of the caps. These mushroom spores for sale also end up having caps that get viscid, or sticky, when moist.

The caps of Lex Luthor mushrooms end up being around 50-75 mm in diameter, and the color is usually reddish-brown. As the mushroom spores mature, the color may change to a more golden brown.
